Injuries continue to haunt the cycling world with more riders getting hurt. This is a matter of deep concern ahead of the Tour de France. The world of cycling already saw some of the most amazing riders withdraw from the brother tournament Giro d’italia. Now many riders who were participating in the Giro retired hurt with different injuries and illness. The extreme weather conditions and tough challenges played an instrumental role in injuring riders as well. Organizers and fans all over the world only wish that their favorite riders recover before the commencement of the 100th edition of Tour de France.

Firstly, the defending champion Ryder Hesjedal had to pull out of the tournament due to illness and his physical condition was getting worse. It has not been officially declared but viral infection is assumed to be the reason for the deterioration of his physical health. Next blow came in the form of Sir Bradley Wiggins’s withdrawal from the Italian tour. He is currently nursing an infection in his chest. He is desperately waiting to be fit for Tour de France where he is the defending champion. In latest update from sources, Wiggins has promised himself to be fit and fine for the tour at any cost.

It was really a very tough situation for the champion rider on Thursday when he was covering the short stage in so much pain. But it was really amazing on the part of his team mates from Sky who actually assisted him to finish the stage. Now it is up to Rigoberto Uran to give his best and salvage the pride of Team Sky. Not only the Sky camp but everyone from the world of cycling had a lot of expectations from the team this year at Giro but nobody can fit with destiny and bad health condition. The only hope to see some more classic action from Wiggins is at Tour de France.
