Trott Signs Up With Matrix Fitness

Leading Brit track cycling Olympic champ Trott has reportedly signed up with Matrix Fitness. She was earlier with Wiggle-Honda.

The dashing Briton rider, who won 2 gold medals at 2012 London Olympic, has been appointed as lead cyclist in her new squad. Matrix Vulpine has hosted many women cycling greats & Olympic medalists earlier including Joanna Rowsell, Lizzie Armistead and Dani King.

“I wanted to take part in developing young riders”, remarked Trott. “It could be really tough for the young female riders come into this sport & what this squad has done for the development of cycling is simply fantastic.”

The 22-year-old bagged gold for her country in 2014 Commonwealth Games’ points race & also won Ride London Grand Prix road race last year. Trott came second to Giorgia Bronzini, the lead rider of Wiggle Honda, in the 2014 race.

Matrix Vulpine is semi-professional still but is aspiring to gain professional stature for 2015 season which might get UCI approval by November this year.
The squad is excited to achieve the Brit star as its lea cyclist.

“Trott is a huge talent, irrespective of whatever she does”, stated Stef Wyman, the director sportif of Matrix Vulpine.

“However, she is one of the best track cyclists primarily & we would do our best to prep her up for Rio Olympics. To have somebody like her in the Brit stripes would be fantastic.”

Trot would be joining up with her new squad following 2015 World Track racing Championships.
“Laura’s potential on road is just huge”, Wyman continued. “Only person comparable to her is Olympic road-racing champ Vos (Mrainne), she is this talented.”

Laura’s first major racing event with her new squad Matrix Fitness is most possibly Great Britain Women’s Tour which is slated 2015 May.
